Job Vacancy - Counselling/Psychotherapist (Gambling)

We are seeking an experienced counsellor to develop and deliver a gambling specific counselling service as part of a 3-year National Pilot Programme with Gambling Awareness Trust and the National Forum for FRC’s.
The main aspect of the post will be to work with and support people who have a gambling addiction; those who are struggling with harmful gambling and/or those affected by harmful gambling. To work in and with the community to determine the needs within the area and to build confidence and capacity of individuals and families experiencing gambling addiction and its effects.
- Part Time, Fixed Term 24 month contract, 14 Hours per week
- Based in any of Silver Arch FRC offices: Nenagh, Borrisokane, Newport
- Relevant degree qualification in Counselling & Psychotherapy:
- Therapists who qualified post 2018 must have completed a minimum Level 8 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in Counselling & Psychotherapy OR
- Therapists who qualified pre 2018 must hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have current Full Accreditation with an approved Accrediting Body OR
- Therapists who hold an MA or MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy must have completed their core training in Counselling and Psychotherapy prior to completing their MA or MSc e.g., BSc or BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy or Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy if qualified pre-2018.
- Be registered with IACP/IAHIP/FT accredited body OR have less than 100 hours pre-accreditation to achieve registration.
- Minimum of two years, post qualification experience.
- Flexible working hours will be essential; evening/weekend sessions may be required
- A commitment to completing specific training (e.g. Certificate in Gambling Addiction) which will be funded by the Gambling Awareness Trust.
- Salary €42, 000 (pro rata)
